SCAN YOUR PERSONAL COMPUTER OR LAPTOP

Malware attacks your Word Press website in a variety of ways, one of this is if your personal computer is infected by the virus. It destroys your FTP security. This is really quite a common way for malware attack. So first things first let’s make your computer cleaned. We always recommend use premium antiviruses such as Kaspersky or AVG. It’s really good and works faster than other free versions.

Change Your cPanel or FTP Password

Now if your personal computer is virus free, you should change your cPanel and FTP security password. You can make your password something random, with at least 1 special character like “!”.Mostly you just have to choose a strong password that probably unbreakable. An example is !Riz^BoK#Y.

Remove the Malware infected file.

Login to your FTP or cPanel > Document Manager. You seen your old word press installation file. It should be appear like this:
wp-admin
wp-content
wp-includes
index.php
license.txt
readme.html
wp-activate.php
wp-blog-header.php
wp-comments-post.php
wp-config.php
wp-config-sample.php
wp-cron.php
wp-links-opml.php
wp-load.php
wp-login.php
wp-mail.php
wp-settings.php
wp-signup.php
wp-trackback.php
xmlrpc.php

you can also seen some other file like .htaccess file error_log etc. Delete all file and folder you seen on upper list expect the wp-content folder, and the wp-config.php document. But don’t delete the folder or file that not appears on the top list. it’s very important.

Now your Old Word press should appear to be:

wp-content
wp-config.php
.htaccess

Inside your cPanel edit the wp-config.php file. Make sure there are no strange rules or anything uncommon. If you found some Delete that rules. When there is malware in this document, it’ll generally appear to be an extended string of arbitrary text message.

Now let’s check the wp-content folder. It should appear to be:
plugins
themes
uploads
index.php

if you saw any other folder or .PHP file Please Delete it. Now open plugins folder and Make a summary of the plugins that you are using, then take away the plugins folder. You need to re-install your plugins when we finished the malware cleaning process.

Now let’s check the themes folder. Remove all themes that you aren’t using. Now you need to separately check each document in your present theme to ensure there is absolutely no malware code. When you have a clean theme just download the theme. I suggest you use New Copy of your current theme. After complete download delete the theme folder.

Now Move To the uploads folder to ensure there are no PHP documents. Check Every folder and File If You Seen Any PHP file just delete it. After Complete The Checking Download the uploads folder.

Download fresh Word Press file.

Download the latest fresh Word Press bundle. You can download it from www.wordpress.org website. It is word press official website. I suggest download word press in Zipping format.

New WordPress installation

Unzip your word press bundle which you just downloaded on your computer. It should be look like :
wp-admin
wp-content
wp-includes
index.php
license.txt
readme.html
wp-activate.php
wp-blog-header.php
wp-comments-post.php
wp-config-sample.php
wp-cron.php
wp-links-opml.php
wp-load.php
wp-login.php
wp-mail.php
wp-settings.php
wp-signup.php
wp-trackback.php
xmlrpc.php

Now Copy wp-config.php file and past it here that just you download from your Cpanel. Now Move To Wp Content folder Delete “thems”and “uploads” folder and replace it with your old “thems” and “uploads” folder.

Now We Almost Finished we made a completely new word press installation file. So you just have to zip all files upload it to your “public_html” folder. After completing your upload just unzip it and boom you made it. Your website is now free from malware attack.
