Ray J Alleges He’s Working With Feds on RICO Charges Against Kim and Kris Jenner
In a startling livestream posted on X (formerly
Twitter), Ray J claimed he is collaborating with federal authorities to build a
RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt
Organizations Act) case against his former partner, Kim Kardashian,
and her mother, Kris Jenner. He warned the consequences would eclipse those
faced by Sean “Diddy” Combs—saying, “It’s worse than Diddy.”
During the broadcast with influencer Chrisean
Rock, Ray J said,
“The federal RICO I’m about to drop on Kris
and Kim is going to be crazy … The feds is coming … It’s worse than Diddy.”
He further suggested he would make
wide-reaching public statements, claiming his legal maneuvering was already
making headlines:
“I’m on the news every day. I’m gonna say a
lot of … Anyone that’s comfortable with Kim should tell her right now that
federal authorities are coming.”
However, Ray J gave no substantive proof or supplementary information about any ongoing investigation. Representatives for Kardashian, Jenner, and Ray J have remained silent, and there is no official confirmation of any RICO case.
Historical Context: Ray J, the Sex Tape, and Past Feuds
Ray J and Kim Kardashian dated from around
2003 until 2006. Their
early relationship eventually became anchored in the controversy surrounding a
leaked intimate video released in 2007. Over the years, Ray J has repeatedly
claimed the leak was part of a coordinated effort involving Kardashian and her
mother, not an accidental or malicious act.
Most recently, Ray J criticized Kris Jenner’s
polygraph appearance on The Late Late Show,
in which she denied any involvement in the tape’s release. He called the test
“fake,” accusing the examiner of being a fraud and arguing that Jenner and
Kardashian manipulated the narrative.
He also says he has retained contracts,
messages, and “receipts” to back his claims that multiple tapes exist and that
Jenner personally curated which version would be released.
This is not Ray J’s first time making heavy allegations about the Kardashian family. Earlier this year, during a segment for TMZ Presents: United States v. Sean Combs: Inside the Diddy Trial, he mused that if Kardashian family members were ever indicted under racketeering statutes, he might believe it.
Public Reaction and Likelihood of Legal Action
Social media and political observers were
quick to respond. Many dismissed Ray J’s threats as unlikely, pointing out that
it is very abnormal—and legally unwise—for someone assisting a federal
investigation to publicly broadcast their involvement. One commenter wrote:
“People who are helping the federal government
during an active investigation don’t announce it to the world. He’s completely
lying.”
Another added:
“If we see Diddy and the Kardashian family go
to jail, 2025 will be a memorable year.”
At present, legal analysts view Ray J’s
remarks as speculative and lacking foundation. No prosecutors have confirmed
any open investigations, and there is no indication that filings for such a
RICO case exist or will appear any time soon.
Still, the provocative nature of the claim—especially the comparison to Diddy’s prosecution—has generated considerable buzz, feeding into the long-running narrative wars around the Kardashian mythos.
